Dollhouse-Ep: 3 NOT!

Oh. My God. i promised a review didn't I? Damn, I guess that means I have to through with it, but please, to my followers and especially to the new ones. I hope that even though I'm not posting all happily like I normally am, you won't write me off. I've had a really good day, but right now I have a major headache and my eyes hurt from the computer. I WILL WRITE THAT REVIEW FOR DOLLHOUSE. But not right now. Hopefully by Monday morning, but no more promises. Sorry, :'-(. Also i told a friend that I would write a review for Obsession, so I have that to do too.

Books in my Plastic Bag

Okay, I hope no one else has coined the term 'books in my Plastic Bag' if someone has please tell me so I can stop using it. So here are some of the books you might find in my plastic bag this week.

--

In a school run by gangs, staying out was harder than joining. We knew who our friends were, and were careful what we said. If people thought we were haters, it would only be a matter of time...
Line are clearly marked at South Bay High School. It's mixed territory for the Crips and the Bloods, which means the drama never stops. Julia DiVino wants none of it. No colors, no C-Walks -- it's not just her thing.
But when Eric Valiente jumps into her life, everything changes. Lines are redrawn. And then they're crossed.
--

Jenny Green is a spoiled teen "princess" and the newest junior at Montreal's Molson Academy. Jenny wants a fresh start in her new school, and she's curious to see what Montreal has to offer, most especially in the boy department. Beautiful, charming, and sharp-witted, Jenny has no trouble getting the boys to fall for her.

But when she discovers just how despicable the male gender can be -- with the lying, the cheating, and the utter disrespect -- she decides to make them pay...with their lives.

--

Life is fabulous for Jonathan Parish.

He's seventeen, out and proud, and ready to party through senior year with his posse of best girlfriends. But the year starts off with the wrong kind of bang when Jonathan -- in an inebriated lapse of judgment -- sleeps with a friend of his...a girl friend!

When word gets around that hot-but-previously-unavailable Jonathan might be on the market, the school's It girl approaches him with a proposal: pretend to be her boyfriend, and achieve popularity like he's never known. But popularity isn't what Jonathan wants. And suddenly, going back into the closet becomes Jonathan's only way to get what he's after -- a trip to see Kylie Minogue.
--
That is what the inside of my Plastic bag looks like and I got two comic books, but I'm tired and don't feel like shareing. I started Snitch and I'm on the 30-something page. Next will be The Straight road To Kylie, and if you remember I said I was going to 'review the shit out of it.' So that will be fun

Sorry.

I got some books today and i plan on reviewing Dollhouse and a book later on. Sorry i couldn't get on sooner.

Contest News

Remember in an earlier post I talked about maybe having a contest? Well I said once i reached 20 followers I would do that. So I decided that maybe if I told you what was up for grabs, it would move it along. So I have two books up for grabs, and these are my favorite books-

1) Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson (paperback)

Since the beginning of the school year, high school freshman Melinda has found that it's been getting harder and harder for her to speak out loud: "My throat is always sore, my lips raw.... Every time I try to talk to my parents or a teacher, I sputter or freeze.... It's like I have some kind of spastic laryngitis." What could have caused Melinda to suddenly fall mute? Could it be due to the fact that no one at school is speaking to her because she called the cops and got everyone busted at the seniors' big end-of-summer party? Or maybe it's because her parents' only form of communication is Post-It notes written on their way out the door to their nine-to-whenever jobs. While Melinda is bothered by these things, deep down she knows the real reason why she's been struck mute...

2) Undone by Brooke Taylor (hardcover)

When Kori Kitlzer, the “dark angel” of the 8th grade, tells Serena Moore that they are more alike than she thinks, Serena is instantly intrigued. As their friendship solidifies and their lives entwine, Serena tries to become more like the fearless, outspoken, and ambitious Kori. Soon Serena doesn’t know where she begins and Kori ends. But when a twist of fate yanks Kori away from Serena, she will need to find a way to complete her best friend’s life left undone.
Undone is a striking debut novel about friendship, family, and the secrets we keep from the people to whom we are closest.

I just reviewed this book, alittle while ago. And I said it was the best book ever. So I wish to share it to some lucky winner.

S0 if you want a chance to win one of these books, follow me and wait a bit until we have reached 20 follows. But you can only ask for one, once I open the contest, I'll ask you to leave a comment saying which book you would like to possibly own. Don't leave a comment here for the contest. I'll open the real contest when i reach 20 followers and then I'll set up some rules for it. Thanks. And any publicity for the contest would be appreciated.

Note: This contest will only be open to American residents. Sorry, but i can't afford to send anything out side of the U.S.A.

I Got Some!

Books you pervs, i got some books. Goodness get your mind out of the gutter. :-) I got the books. I got Death Daughter by Amber Benson and Your So Undead To Me by Stacey Jay. Yup I got them yesterday at Wal-Mart and you know what. I didn't pay more then $15.00. That isn't a bad deal, and yes I'm clearly happy, and rambling. So what will I do? Will I stop reading VA to read my new books? No, my friend recommended VA to me and since I liked the author already I figured I'd give it a try. On Friday I will start 'Undead to me' because I wanna hold of from DD til i can become coherent.

What's Your Damage, Heather?!

YEAH!! Death Daughter by Amber Benson is out today!!! So is White Witch Black Curse by Kim Harrison!!! Yes I know I just used why too many '!' marks, but you know what I don't care. That's right people I don't care, so suck it. Okay...that was weird, sorry. Now onto heathers.

Have you guys seen this movie? If you haven't then get your ass up and rent it or buy it. I don't have a favorite movie but this is on the top 10 list. It's a black comedy centered on a high school. Where the three most popular girls name are all Heather. Go HERE to read about it. Cause my review of this movie will contain major spoilers.

So anyone that was born after 1990, probably hasn't seen this movie. Trust me, only the teachers knew what I was talking about, when I said "What's your damage, Heather?" So this movie is really good and you have to be a little intelligent to be able to understand the movie. Sure the premise is simple. This crazy dude named JD gets a kick out of killing people and making it look like suicide. And gets Veronica to help him, cause she is the only one that can write in their handwriting. The first kill was an accident, but then it became a joke. great movie and funny. Um the heathers are such preppy little girls, (no offense to the preps) rude preppy little girls. Even causing someone to try real suicide because they were rude and mean to them. Now don't get me wrong I can get nasty but, to push someone that far is too much. The ending real good also, JD trys to blow up the school, but Veronica stops him. In the end JD blows himself up in front of the school and right in front of Veronica. Then Veronica makes her way through the school. Goes to Heather Duke and takes the red ribbon from her hair, (which all of the Heathers once had) and says; "Heather, my love, there's a new sheriff in town." Now JD blowing him self up in front of her.
1) Kinda gross, even if none of 'him' gets on her, which would be impossible since he was right there.
2) Well I suppose there is no '2', but goodness, I never seem to get rude or snarky about the things I review.

Also this movie has some of the best lines ever.
As you can see from the title for this post. "What's your damage, Heather" is the pest, but many good ones follow. Here are some:

Heather McNamara: Do they even have Thanksgiving in Africa?
Veronica Sawyer: Oh sure, Pilgrims, Indians . . . tater-tots. It's a real party continent.

Heather Duke: Veronica, you look like Hell.
Veronica Sawyer: Yeah, I just got back.

Heather Chandler: Fu** me gently with a chainsaw.

Heather Chandler: Grow up Heather, bulimia is so '87

Veronica Sawyer: Dear diary, my teen-angst bullshit has a body count

I loves these ones, they are my favorite. I'm try real hard to get to a bookstore, hell at this point I would settle for the book part at Wal-Mart. LOL sorry if this has some language, not a common thing.

Quick!

I gotta dash to school soon, I'll keep this short. All of those great realease that I talked abou in the earlier post are out today. I'll be back to talk about the ones i look foward to most and the movie Heathers.

No Books For Me

I am like really disappointed, I haven't been able to get to the book store yet. But, i will hopefully make it there tomorrow. Um...Not much going on, I'm really not into The Vampire Diaries. I have gotten good reviews from readers on this story. But I just can't get into it, so now I'm going to start Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. Two books at once right now, so maybe soon two times the reviews.

Vampire Academy

After two years on the run, best friends Rose, half-human/half-vampire, and Lissa, a mortal vampire princess, are caught and returned to St. Vladimir's Academy. Up until then, Rose had kept Lissa safe from her enemies; school, however, brings both girls additional challenges and responsibilities. How they handle peer pressure, nasty gossip, new relationships, and anonymous threats may mean life or death. Likable narrator Rose hides doubts about her friend behind a tough exterior; orphan Lissa, while coping with difficult emotional issues such as depression and survivor's guilt, uses her emerging gifts for good. Mead's absorbing, debut YA novel, the first in a new series, blends intricately detailed fantasy with a contemporary setting, teen-relevant issues, and a diverse, if sometimes stereotyped, cast of supporting characters. Occasional steamy sex and a scattering of vulgar language demand mature readers, but teens able to handle the edgy elements will speed through this vamp story and anticipate the next installment. Rosenfeld, Shelle

And I think that the girl on the cover looks like Angelina Joilie

Aussie Perks

There are many perks to being friends with an Aussie, you get great recommendations for books, movies, TV shows and music. And you get to stay updated with the world that is different from your own.

Such as the mammoth snake swimming in Borneo, sure it's a fake but that's not the point. The point is, I would never have found this if not for my Aussie friend. Also there are some crazy spiders down there. Don't believe me go Here. And i get to stay current on all of the bush fires going on. For the latest on those go Here. She is an awesome person, nice, and doesn't judge, which is a rare quality in people now-a-days. Hopefully she will start her own blog, and I don't know what it will be about, but it will be good.

She can also manipulate the crap out of images, and makes some of the best avatars ever. I just wanted to pay some thanks to her. So thanks for being nice, being someone I could really talk to, and being someone to make me laugh.

And you better flipping like this or I'll zap you. :-)

Wanna do a contest

Hi, I was thinking and I really wanted to do a contest. But with only 2 followers at the moment, it seems kinda dumb to do. So I was thinking, that if I ever get 20 followers I'll do a contest. You guys could maybe give suggestions for books, and how to do it. Because I have no idea what to give-a-way. So that's the deal, 20 follows I host a contest, but the followers will have to make a suggestion for books.

Tara

This Tara is not from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I know right? I thought Tara from Buffy was the only Tara, but apparently a lot of people have that name. Weird.

I started to watch this show tonight on ch131.com, and wow, it is really funny and really good. It's about Tara Gregson (Toni Collette) a mother of two living with Dissociative identity disorder. She has three personalities; Buck (the man), Alice (the homemaker), and T (the wild teenager). She is married to Max Gregson (John Corbett) has been married to Tara for 17 years. They also have two teenage children. Kate Gregson (Brie Larson) has a lot of hormonal issues and often has trouble with the boys she dates. Marshall Gregson (Keir Gilchrist) is a fourteen year old out homosexual, also Tara's alter buck is somewhat homophobic.

The series revolves around all the crazy situations that Tara's get alters get everyone into. But the back stories are also great. Diablo Cody, writer of Juno and her memoir Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper. Diablo is an awesome writer and her humor is great for this show. And since it is on Showtime, I can't watch it, but luckly internet. So I will continue to watch and check in later.

Note: On February 10, 2009, Showtime Networks president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt announced that United States of Tara has been renewed for a second season, which will consist of 12 episodes and air in 2010

Small Haul

If you missed last nights episode of Dollhouse you can go Here and watch it on hulu.com.

Today I got a small haul, not even a haul just two books, Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand by Carrie Vaughn and Evernight by Claudia Gray. I would post links for these books, but my blogger is screwed up and isn't working. And the pics are not working either. What ever I'll try later...But tomorrow, I think I'll buy You Are So Undead To Me by Stacey Jay.

HONEYMOON IN VEGAS?

Already the alpha pair of Denver's werewolf pack, Kitty and Ben now plan to tie the knot human-style by eloping to Vegas. Kitty is looking forward to sipping fru-fru drinks by the pool and doing her popular radio show on live TV, but her hotel is stocked with werewolf-hating bounty hunters. Elsewhere on the Strip an old-school magician might be wielding the real thing; the vampire community is harboring a dark secret; and the irresistible star of a suspicious animal act is determined to seduce Kitty. Sin City has never been so wild, and this werewolf has never had to fight harder to save not only her wedding, but her very life.

Bianca wants to escape.

At the eerily Gothic Evernight Academy, the other students are sleek, smart, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn't fit in.

When she meets handsome, brooding Lucas, he warns her to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him. But the connection between them can't be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she's ever believed.
Tomorrow I'm going to try real hard to buy You Are So Undead Me by Stacey Jay.

Dollhouse-Ep: 2

This evening was the second episode of Dollhouse and I don't know how to rate this one. It defiantly got better as the episode progressed. The rest of the review will contain spoilers for this episode and the previous episode, read with cation.

If you have seen the episode and don't need an overview of it, please skip down to the words in blue.

So the episode start off in a flashback and these will continue throughout the episode and most likely the whole season. But this flashback is right after Alpha escaped the Dollhouse after all of his personalities imprinted on him resurfaced simultaneously. In his escape, he killed several Actives and Dollhouse staff members, including Echo's previous handler, but he let Echo live.
Then straight to a new customer Richard O'Connell (Matt Keeslar) who wishes to hire to Echo for a weekend of fun up in the mountains. This would include; river rafting, hiking, rock climbing, and archery. Sounds fun doesn't it? Especially when she gets to have steamy sex with him in a tent. (Now this pisses me off, and I'll get to that later.) But he gets up and tells her that she has got five minutes to run before he is going to come after her with a bow and arrow. (And they say romance is dead.) And in that time I believe there was a flashback, to where we meet Echo new handler Boyd Langton (Harry J. Lennix) and we see that Alpha is the one that gave Claire Saunders her scars.
Now while Echo is having her fun, her handler is attacked, but later ties up his assailant, and goes to find Echo.
Echo has been run for awhile now, and stumbles upon a cabin. Once inside she finds a canteen, takes a drink and then hears a noise in the closet. (No girl you better not open that door, you know there is something bad in there.) And what do you know, it's a dead body of a forest ranger. Richard comes over the rangers walkie talkie and tells Echo that there is something in the water, that won't kill her but will 'put a spin on things'. Another flashback to where, Boyd and Echo are connected, Echo now will always feel safe and trust Boyd no matter what.
So Boyd and Echo find each other, but the bastard Richard shoots Boyd in the stomach, and Echo is forced to leave him while she tries to find Richard. After a little walking they find each other, face to face weapons drawn. (Boyd gave Echo a gun.) They shot and miss, but Richard starts to strangle Echo, but in a twist, Echo stabs him in the neck with his fallen arrow.
Echo gets her mind erased and all is well, but in the last shot of the episode you see her doing a scouts solute that Richard taught her.

Enough rambling about the episode, time for a review.

So this dude Richard (major asshole) hires Echo, it's one thing to do it for companionship, but for sex and then a game of cat and mouse. It's bull and in a way rape, I'm sure that the customers have to sign a clause saying they won't sleep with them. But what will really stop them, yes Echo enjoyed it and wanted it but, the real Echo had no idea. And as for the game of cat and mouse, that is a sick and twisted and eww. But we did get some more back story on the dolls and the dollhouse, and the FBI trying to get into it. And the possibility that dolls can remember the things they were activated to do. And Amy Acker more of her, I love her, she is so flipping awesome and it's great that we see her and even her back story, how she got her scars. The humor has really stepped it up also, Topher and Boyd have a very funny relationship, and healthy bit of back and forth dialog. And thank goodness, because in a serious episode like that, I needed a laugh that Joss is so good at giving.
The woman that runs the dollhouse Adelle DeWitt (Olivia Williams) truly think that what the dolls do really help people. Surely after what has happened to Echo she can't think that this helps people. This episode was better then the first and if your struggling through the first, please wait and watch this episode. Also during the episode Eliza appeared in a Hulu commercial. Here it is.

A Few Books And News

The first little bit of new is that you can read The Nymphos of Rocky Flats by Mario Acevedo, for free in February 24, 2009. Just go HERE and then that will link you to the book. And if you have read my earlier post, you know that his new book Jailbait Zombie is coming out February 24, 2009.

Now for the books; I have been surfing the web looking for new books, and what would you know I found some interesting one. The first is called Evermore by Alyson Noel, The Sweet Scent of Blood by Suzanne Mcleod, and The Straight Road To Kylie by Nico Medina.

Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste…

Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is. Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

This book is out, and although it looks interesting it could be major chick lit. But I'm willing to try anything, as long as it is written well.

Genevieve Taylor is a Sidhe, one of the noble fae, and she's unusual, even in present-day London where celebrity vampires, eccentric goblins and scheming lesser fae mix freely with the human population. Genny is a rising star at Spellcrackers.com, where she finds the M' in magic - and that invariably leads to mischief, malice and - too often - murder. Spellcrackers.com is affiliated to the Witch Council, whose ancient tenets prohibit any contact with vampires. Genny also works as a volunteer at a clinic which treats victims of vampire attacks.

Then there's her extra-curricular activity, extracting vulnerable fae lured by the local fang gangs. Genny certainly doesn't wants any closer involvement with the vampire community. But when Mr October, one of the hot calendar pin-up vamps, is accused of violently murdering his girlfriend, Genny's called on to repay an old debt and prove his innocence. And that means consorting with some of the sexiest vamps in London! THE SWEET SCENT OF BLOOD is the first book of SPELLCRACKERS.COM, a sexy, sassy new series guaranteed to spice up your reading life!

This book is not out yet, but is due to release in April 9, 2009.

Okay, let me just say how happy I am to see a gay author writing about a guy boy. And a confused gay boy at that. I'm also very please that i surfed right into this book. I have not bought it yet, but when I can find the money I'm buying it and reviewing the shit out of it. Awesome, an Aussie friend of mine has also told me that this is an Aussie book. This could be true of not true, I'm not sure. But I am looking forward to reading it.
There you go, you now have the fun information that I promised. Enjoy.

Vamps?

So i'm on the 114 page of The Vampire Diaries, and although we have met a few vampires, the only person to write in a diary is not a vampire...So I'm left wondering about all of this, and if this book is worth it. Well I'm half way through the The Awakening, oh wait, the Awakening, maybe Elena will be 'awakened' as a vampire soon. I'll go ask someone though.

February 24, 2009

I know that the 24 is next week, so I thought I'd share some of the release for that day...

With her enigmatic mentor, Jack, covering her back, Nadia unearths sinister clues that point to an increasingly darker and deadlier mystery. Because in her book, everyone deserves a chance. And everyone deserves justice.

Deaths Daughter by Amber Benson

Buffy fans will go wild!

SHE WAS TARA ON BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER.

Now she’s the author of Ace’s hottest new series— killer novels featuring Calliope Reaper-Jones, who doesn’t want to be daddy’s little girl anymore...Calliope Reaper-Jones so just wanted a normal life: buying designer shoes on sale, dating guys from Craig’s List, web-surfing for organic dim-sum for her boss...

Sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas.

Kitty and Ben flee The City That Never Sleeps, thinking they were finished with the dangers there, but the sadistic cult of lycanthropes and their vampire priestess have laid a curse on Kitty in revenge for her disrupting their rituals. Starting at the next full moon, danger and destruction the form of fire strikes Kitty and the pack of werewolves she's sworn to protect.

She enlists the help of a group of TV paranormal investigators - one of whom has real psychic abilities - to help her get to the bottom of the curse that's been laid on her. Rick, the Master vampire of Denver, believes a deeper plot lies behind the curse, and he and Kitty argue about whether or not to accept the help of a professional demon hunter - and vampire - named Roman, who arrives a little too conveniently in the nick of time.

Unable to rely on Rick, and unwilling to accept Roman's offer of help for a price, Kitty and her band of allies, including Vegas magician Odysseus Grant and Kitty's own radio audience, mount a trap for the supernatural being behind the curse, a destructive force summoned by the vengeful cult, a supernatural being that none of them ever thought to face.

Honeycutt Boys

Well late last night while I was reading, the diaries of vampires I came across a character names Matt Honeycutt. This left me to ponder; does Emmett Honeycut from QAF have a sibling, or even a son? Now come on people you all know this might be possible, Emmett, Matt. They are so close it is crazy. And yes one likes boys the other likes the most popular girl Robert E. Lee. That is not the point, the point is we could get these two Honeycutt boys, (yes, I now that sounds weird) back together. If I come across someone in the book named Emmett, I think I'll die of laughing.

This post is a little bit of fun and humor that I don't do much on this blog, because most of my humor is gross, :-/ but enjoy. Hope you laugh, when I read the words Honeycutt in the book, i couldn't stop laughing.

What I'm Reading Now...

The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening and The Struggle by L.J. Smith. It looks okay and I started to read it today after my assesment test were over. We are doing writing right now on the test and it is so much fun and rather easy.

The cover of this book is pretty nice, not my favorite but okay.

Devon is awesome

Devon Monk author of Magic to the Bone is awesome. She is very talented and nice. although her first book is not my cup of tea. Anyone that can get a book out and get as much praise as she does, deserves to be called awesome. And do you know why??? Because as you know she helps run the blog/website Deadline Dames and on her first post she asked us to state our reasonable goals and unreasonable goals. Mine was to catalog one bookcase in my room by; series, author name, and genre, as my reasonable one. Catalog all bookcases in my house, (15 of them) by series, author name, and genre for my unreasonable goal. a few weeks later she wanted to thank the people who comment by sending them a little treat. That is a cover flat, a little letter, and a Japanese Kaeru frog sitting on a piece of paper. Here is what the frog means-
Kaeru means both "frog" and "return". Carried by a traveler out little frog brings wishes for a safe return home
-isn't that nice :-). The cover flat is like all other flats and the note is just a thank you. But when a author connects with fans this way it is special. Thanks Devon now I'll go to her blog to thank her.

The Devouring Review

Okay i started this on Sunday night and finished it on Monday night, not a long book, but for me reading that fast is a miracle and getting a blog post/review up the day after is even more miraculous. But i dragged my sorry butt out of bed at 5:00AM to get this post up before school. So here is what it is about:

15-year-old Reggie doesn’t know who penned the mysterious journal about the Vours, wicked creatures that inhabit children’s bodies on Sorry Night, the darkness of the winter solstice. Once inside a human, the Vour assumes the victim’s personality, banishing their soul to a dark netherworld called a fearscape. Frightening, but thought to be only the musings of an anonymous lunatic... until a midnight game awakens an ancient evil.
After playing with the journal’s incantations on Sorry Night, Reggie and her best friend Aaron discover the story of the Vours is all too real. When a demonic force consumes Reggie’s little brother, Henry, she must race to save him. Slowly, she uncovers the truth: Vours have existed since the dawn of mankind, feeding on humanity’s fright. Reggie acquires the ability to enter victims’ fearscapes, psychic prisons sculpted from pure terror. Once inside, she must empower victims to conquer their fear and destroy the Vours that have enslaved them.
Together with a small band of believers, Reggie wages war against an enemy she cannot touch or reason with, creatures powerful enough to enslave human bodies and steal souls without detection. The Vours gorge themselves on human fear—feeding their guile, their cruelty, and their power. A cataclysm called “The Devouring “ approaches, and only Reggie Halloway can stop it.

Phew that was long, but now for the review. after just finishing the book Undone this book had a lot to live up to. And did it ever, it surpassed by wildest dreams for a book. this girl Regina/Reggie is the main squeeze of the story and from the cover art, kinda cute too. But that is off the subject. On Sorry Night the Vours can get you, and this a just what happens to Reggies little brother Henry. If this book is anything but good, then it would be scary, so it's creepy in sooo many ways. Yup, Creepy and disturbing pretty much cover it. People have said not to read this at night for it will surely give you nightmares, well it didn't give me nightmares. But be warned; sometimes seeing a little kid act the way Henry does will get you freaked. Also keep in mind for when your reading this late into the evening that Vours hate the cold, light will pull them to you. :-)

This story isn't in first person, but on the Prologue it is in first person, because your reading it out of someones journal. But for someone that likes to read only first person POV books, this on wouldn't have worked any other way. The point-i think-is that we don't know what is coming and we don't know what Reggie is fearing at a certain moment, so if we were in first person we would know these things and not be surprised. Some of the fears are cliche' but the characters point this out throughout the story and I found that to be kind of funny. Reggie also has a best friend named Aaron, who is afraid of drowning. This dude is awesome and I related to him alot, except i don't fear drowning. Eben is a kindly old man who runs a local book that Reggie works at, but this man has something to hide, what it is? I don't know yet. I really hope that Simon Holt will write another book on the Vours, cause this was just too good. But remember-

"When dark creeps in and eats the light,
Bury yours fears on Sorry Night.
For in the winter’s blackest hours,
Comes the feasting of the Vours.
No one will see it, the life they stole,
Your body’s here but not your soul…”

Buy this book, or the Vours won't be the only things you will be afraid of...

Undone by Brooke Taylor review

Also last night i finished the best book I have ever read; Undone by Brooke Taylor.
Kori Kitzler is the "dark angel" of her high school: beautiful, mysterious, the subject of rumors. Serena Moore is just an average girl, until a run-in with Kori in the bathroom in eighth grade. When Kori tells her that they are more alike than she thinks, Serena is instantly intrigued, and their fateful friendship begins.
When the girls are asked to complete a writing assignment listing the five things they would want to happen--their five ways to tempt fate--Serena doesn't take it seriously. But when something tragic happens to Kori, Serena is left with her loneliness and Kori's five things. Can Serena complete her best friend's tasks, or will she leave her list undone?
Now doesn't that sound good? This author is the best author i have read so far, like ever! The way that she captures the way teenagers think and act is uncanny, and somewhat weird. The main character Serena, is best friends with the crazy and out going Kori. But then something horrible happens to Kori and this effects Serena in a way that is so in depth. You really have a feeling for this character from the very beginning. You will laugh and you might even cry, and even for a fictional book this story feels real. The characters are so well developed, that you will hate some of them and love the others, and be on the side lines with the rest until the very end. The secrets that are kept and revealed will really surprise you. People you need to go and pick up this book it is titled Undone by Brooke Taylor and it is amazing.
Also while reading this Kori told me something very interesting; Kitzler is German for clitoris. Google it, but don't write 'German clitoris' that could cause problems. :-) It is truly the best book and everyone must read it. Now I'm going to go and read The Devouring by Simon Holt.
Note: The above was taken from a the Pride, but i wrote the review, I just didn't feel like rewriting it.

Dollhouse-Ep: 1

Dollhouse was a hit, at least it was in my opinion. Echo (Eliza Dushku) is the sexy, smart-ass, girl, who is introduced when she is first signing up for the 'dollhouse' experience. The next scene cuts to her on a motorcycle racing some guy, who is later revealed as a paying customer, who bought her as a week long girlfriend. After her mission is over, she goes home still thinking that she has met an amazing guy, only to get her memory wiped clean. Not to give too much away on the show for those of you who haven't seen it yet, it was very much a police drama. When a little girl gets kidnapped, Echo is turned into this negotiator, to get her back.

This show has gotten mixed reviews and is unlike anything that Joss has ever done before. Also, many have said that the dollhouse is kinda like a prostitution ring, because man can come in and buy the woman as dates and even for sex. Although men are dolls as well we have yet to meet them. One man however that works there is Topher Brink (Fran Kranz) his job is to imprint the dolls and make sure that they are unaware of everything. Also Dr. Claire Saunders (Amy Acker, and Angel alumni) looks after the physical well-being of the dolls. She is also scarred from a razor attack. I was just on the Dollhouse website and in Echo Chamber and half of her gallery pictures are of her topless, with her arms or other things covering her. Now being a guy, I'm all for seeing her nude, but come on this is for a TV show, why is it needed? Echo.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, lasted seven great years. Angel stared on Buffy for three years and later went into his own success for five years on his own show. And Firefly a short lived series with only 14 episodes. But later helped bring the film Serenity to life. All of these great works of Joss Whedon and Dollhouse is just the next of his great works. Lets hope that is is long lived and loved by all fans.
