This Tara is not from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I know right? I thought Tara from Buffy was the only Tara, but apparently a lot of people have that name. Weird.

I started to watch this show tonight on, and wow, it is really funny and really good. It's about Tara Gregson (Toni Collette) a mother of two living with Dissociative identity disorder. She has three personalities; Buck (the man), Alice (the homemaker), and T (the wild teenager). She is married to Max Gregson (John Corbett) has been married to Tara for 17 years. They also have two teenage children. Kate Gregson (Brie Larson) has a lot of hormonal issues and often has trouble with the boys she dates. Marshall Gregson (Keir Gilchrist) is a fourteen year old out homosexual, also Tara's alter buck is somewhat homophobic.

The series revolves around all the crazy situations that Tara's get alters get everyone into. But the back stories are also great. Diablo Cody, writer of Juno and her memoir Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper. Diablo is an awesome writer and her humor is great for this show. And since it is on Showtime, I can't watch it, but luckly internet. So I will continue to watch and check in later.

Note: On February 10, 2009, Showtime Networks president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt announced that United States of Tara has been renewed for a second season, which will consist of 12 episodes and air in 2010
